Burnet is committed through our Disability Action Plan to ensure our digital platforms are accessible. We have developed our website to provide content that is accessible to the widest possible audience.
We recognise maintaining accessibility is an ongoing process and will continue to improve the usability of this website and our other digital platforms for all users.
Conformance status
The main Burnet website (burnet.edu.au) complies with the World Wide Web Consortium’s Web Content Accessibility Guidelines version 2.1 at level AA.
Known issues
There remain issues with accessibility in some features of our website.
Third-party systems
Some third-party systems that we embed on our website or link to have varying levels of accessibility. These include Shorthand, a long-form content user interface, and Raisely, our donation platform.
When we upgrade these systems in future, we will ensure the replacement is accessible. Shorthand will be retired by the end of 2024.
Documents
We are working to:
- reduce Burnet’s reliance on PDFs and other documents as a format for presenting information
- improve the accessibility of documents that must for whatever reason remain on our website.
Accessibility requests
If you encounter any difficulties using our website, accessing information or services, or need content in an alternative format, please contact us.
