Background

Paul is responsible for the initiation, general management and the implementation of key institute programs and projects, which help grow and develop the Institute’s strategic and business opportunities.

He provides a key advisory and support role to the Executive Office and Director and CEO, and has responsibility for government and other stakeholder relations. He has formal qualifications and background in laboratory science, as well as public relations and marketing, with experience in public hospital and corporate sector organisations.

Prior to working at Burnet, he was a senior hospital scientist (microbiology) at the Royal Melbourne Hospital, Communications Officer with the Inner and Eastern Health Care Network, and Marketing Director for a property and financial services group.
