Background

Nomvuyo is an Infectious Diseases Physician and Clinical Microbiologist with diverse expertise who joins Burnet as a Technical Advisor in the Health Emergencies Working Group. 

She holds clinical, pathology and public health appointments in the Victorian public hospital, private pathology and not-for-profit sectors. She has also worked in Zimbabwe in clinical, implementation and research roles in HIV and opportunistic infections. 

Nomvuyo has an interest in HIV, global health, health and laboratory systems strengthening, molecular diagnostic methods and microbial genomics.
