Leanne Lawrence

Chief People Officer
Background

Leanne is an accomplished senior executive leader and has held a number of senior roles in high profile organisations in the public and NFP sector.  These include the Department of Premier and Cabinet, the Fair Work Commission and Arts Centre Melbourne where she held the inaugural Chief People Officer role and became Interim CEO during 2022. 

Leanne is an enterprise leader with significant experience in driving change and transformation.  Leanne leads whole-of-organisation projects which have an improvement focus and has a strong track record in leading a range of corporate functions, in addition to her human resources and industrial relations leadership. 

Leanne influences people-led thinking at the strategic level and is passionate about the people function being a key partner to drive broader leadership capability and engagement.  Her focus is on supporting people to be the best they can be, and boosting organisational capability and performance through a people, systems, process and technology lens.   

Leanne is highly motivated by being able to make a difference to those who may be experiencing disadvantage in our community.  This is reflected in the board roles she has held in the NFP sector.  Leanne is currently on the board of Financial Counselling Victoria. Leanne is also a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
