Background

She actively participated in operational research, contributing as a clinician and implementer in the 2005 9-month short course MDRTB treatment study in Swaziland. Her involvement extended to the 2016 EndTB program in Myanmar and, more recently, the BPaL (Bedaquiline, Pretomanid, and Linezolid short course) study in Myanmar from 2021 to 2022.

Khin Nyein Nyein's international experiences encompass collaborations with MSF-Holland, MSF-Spain, IOM, HHISP, Pyi Gyi Khin (a local INGO in Myanmar), and the Burnet Institute, providing her with a global perspective on HIV and TB care.

Her professional interests revolve around care, treatment, operational research, and program management for infectious diseases and tropical illnesses, reflecting her dedication to advancing healthcare solutions in these crucial areas.
